Easy Halloween Outfit Ideas

So every year like clockwork, Halloween comes around and I swear up and down that I’m not doing anything. Until, aha! A last minute plan comes up and I can’t resist. The only problem: I have nothing to wear!! I get stumped, panicked and resort to something easy and sometimes too basic.

Not this year! I decided to plan some costumes for me (AND for you!) and take some inspiration from my favorite women on screen. Maybe you’ll have some of these pieces in your closet for a quick costume or maybe it’s a good excuse to buy a new outfit. Whatever the reason, scroll through and check out some of my faves!

Penny Lane from Almost Famous

It’s all happening! I mean, your Halloween outfit of course. The iconic Penny Lane jacket is usually a winter staple in my closet and there are many variations so don’t be afraid to make this costume your own and dig through your closet to find a similar jacket or coat!  Throw on some fun purple shades, a lacey crop top and flares to catch the ultimate 70’s vibe.

Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City

I like my money where I can see it – hanging in my closet. And just like Carrie Bradshaw, I can’t get enough of my favorite fur coats. Throw on some heels, a tulle skirt and a chunky fur coat for that Sex and the City vibe. You’ll be the most fashionable at any party (and the most warm).

Elle Woods from Legally Blonde

Whoever said orange is the new pink is seriously disturbed. Get dressed up in head to toe pink like Elle Woods for a seriously cute look. Plus, a pop of hot pink will liven up your closet even after the holiday!

Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl

Time for tweed! Dress up like the Queen Bee in dark tweeds and matching sets. Plus, I’m totally loving tweed for fall so you can wear it from the party to your office. Grab a headband or hair bow and some cute boots to top off this look.
