I’ve never been one to have super girly style. Maybe I think I’m a little princess at heart but I just cannot put on a frilly, sparkly look and heels for the holidays. I mean, I wore a pastel shift dress to prom, not exactly dressing up!
This holiday season I’ve been dying to dabble in the sparkle but in a more cool, styled out way. I definitely think there is a way to make sequins and sparkle cool and you’ll definitely see me rocking these looks this year and next! Hopefully these tips will take your look to the next level.
How to Wear: A Sequin Dress
Okay so first things first, how cute is this sequin slip dress?! I’m obsessed with pairing it with a neon cardigan, chunky combat boots and a cool hat. I feel like this would be super cute with a t-shirt underneath too!
The trick with this slip dress is to almost dress it down (but not making it casual, just edging it up). I 100% of the time would add a chunky boot on the bottom, as heels would be way to fancy and such a different look! And sneakers is a little too casual.

How to Wear: A Sequin Suit
Feeling like a badass is the key to having confidence, so naturally rocking a sequin suit is what I’m all about this season. This look again, should be “dressed down” and I did that with a band tee that pops. Not saying that this look wouldn’t still look cool with a delicate cami and heels, but for the sake of making it super cool, any graphic tee would do!
Make a statement at your office party or that after hours shindig in a cool sequin blazer and matching pants. I love this one because it’s “printed” with the sequin stripes but a full on, solid, sequin look would be super cool too!

How to Wear: A Sequin Jacket
Nothing screams cool bohemian more than super duper flares, a sequin jacket and a cool hat. All of my favorite pieces in one outfit! I got this amazing sequin jacket from Chasing Unicorns, a new favorite Australian brand. So with such statement pieces I had to go super simple underneath with a black mock neck top. A sequin jacket would look cool with any type of flares! For a more dressed up outfit, grab a pair of velvet or corduroy flares and you’ll still have a super cool boho outfit.
